Is the Chemical Engineering program at Drexel any good? Is it good enough, when co-op is factored in, to be a reasonable alternative to a really good ChemE school like University of Minnesota or University of Wisconsin? I don't care that much about campus life, as wherever I go I'll probably spend most of my time studying, or cost, as I'll probably be a NMF.

Hey Gradiant,
I’m not in the Chemical Engineering program, so I definitely can’t speak about the strength of that program alone, especially compared to uMinnesota or UW.

That being said, I could tell you loads about Drexel’s Engineering program. If you have any specific questions, I’d be more than happy to try my best to answer those. I don’t want to write a whole post telling you things you already know, so just let me know what you’d like to find out. Some questions I think it’s important for you to ask (if you don’t already know):

-What is the curriculum like?
-How accessible is undergraduate research?
-How are the professors?
-What other engineering majors does Drexel have? (If you’re just curious or unsure about Chem E)
-How rigorous/difficult is Drexel?

Questions like that are much easier for me to answer because I have relavent personal experience to use (I’m a Drexel student right now). Of course feel free to ask about anything though.

Good luck on your search
