<p>I shadowed a doctor who was ChemE in college. </p>
<p>One of my best friends is a ChemE who got a great job in Orange County CA, and his girlfriend who started out ChemE/Pre-med switched to genetics after two years.</p>
<p>It can hurt your GPA, you will busy, but if you decide not to go to medical school, you'll have a solid career ready.</p>
<p>My advice though is to make sure your major is something you love. Medical schools don't care what your major was, so you might as well pick somthing that you enjoy rather than worry if it will look good.</p>
