Is it safe to be a chemical engineer? The reason I ask is because one of my friends is majoring in that field and he was reading and it says sometimes you mess with chemicals and that might affect your health in the long run, is that true? Also, he was wondering where can you work, and is it necessary to get a masters in chemical engineer. Also, he asked that if it’s worth it to be a chemical engineer instead of a mechanical engineer or computer engineer? He has a 3.9 and he is starting his second semester in UIUC
Tell him to also ask his advisor those questions.
He did, but they said everything is fine, I mean sometimes advisors don’t really know how the outfield is, they only go by statistics. They gave him a website called bls.gov and that’s were he read and said chemical engineers sometimes risk their health so he got worried and also that only 600 jobs will open by 2024. He said what other good majors of engineering are in demand?
Why doesn’t “he” come ask for himself?
I have no idea, that’s the samething I told him, but since he knows I have an account here, he was like do it from yours. Any help with this?
