Chemical Physics for Pre-Med?

I’m looking for majors that can set me up for medical school after I graduate. Does anyone know if Chemical Physics is a common or viable choice as a good major in this regard?

Med schools require, in part, a college degree in any major of a student’s choosing (eg chemical physics, English, geography, history, fine arts, etc, etc, etc). Although one needs to complete premed reqs, med schools simply do not care what you major in. What may set you up for med school is a competitive application in all respects (eg GPAs, MCAT, ECs, LoRs, secondary essays, PS and, if offered, do well on interview.) You should pick a major that interests you as if you like material you’re more likely to do well GPA wise which is something med schools care a lot about. As most who start premed change their minds and of those that apply 60% will not start at any med school, consider what you plan to do with your major should your med school plans don’t pan out. Good luck
