Chemistry and Calculus review

I am starting my first year of civil engineering this fall and I want to get a headstart on the material to make sure I don't have a hard time. I took chemistry in high school my sophomore year but I honestly can't remember much of it at all. I am taking a general chemistry class and I want a book that I can read and understand the concepts and then work out some problems. I want to be able to completely understand the periodic table again, naming compounds and other things, mole problems, equations, etc..What about chemistry for dummies? Also, my senior year I never took pre-cal or calculus, but I took college algebra and trig and excelled. From what I understand pre-cal involved a lot of trig anyway. I want a itroductory pre-cal book to basically help me move forward to be able to succeed in Calculus 1.
