Chemistry Doubt

Barron’s Book 11th edition
There’s a question
Q.Write E for each element, C for each compound, and M for each mixture in the following list:
Silver chloride is given as an Element
and Potassium is given as Compound
Can anyone please explain?
I think it’s an error.

Definitely an error. Barron’s books are filled with errors but when you get past them, they still offer some of the best content. But yeah, it should be C and E respectively.
