Chemistry help please

hi, im new and i need a little help...

The question

Zn + 2HCL --> ZnCl2 + H2

i have 2 questions on this.

If you had 100 grams of each reactant, which reactant would run out first?

How many grams of zinc chloride would you expect to make?

If able, please explanation would help.

Thanks alot

100 g Zn / 65 g Zn (molar mass) x 1 mol ZnCl2 / 1 mol Zn = 1.54 mol ZnCl2

100 g HCl / 36 g HCl (molar mass) x 1 mol ZnCl2 / 2 g HCl = 1.39 mol ZnCl2

Therefore, HCl is the limiting reagent.

100 g HCl / 36 g HCl (molar mass) x 1 mol ZnCl2 / 2 g HCl x 135 g ZnCl2 / 1 mol ZnCl2 = 188 g ZnCl2
