I got 48 on the MC. I hope that’s enough for honors.
Missed 15… also hoping for honors… 48 should be more than enough for honors
Where can you get your MC score? Is it through the local coordinator? If I took it at my school, would that just be the teacher?
@HufflePygmyPuff If you circled answers in your test book, the answer key is posted on the ACS website.
Oh, you got your test book back? I saw the answer key but haven’t had anything to compare it to yet, haha. I felt pretty confident about MC, so I’m hoping for the best…
When will honors/high honors come out? Do they notify you or are you just supposed to see if your name is on the list?
So did they notify all the camp attendees? Honors and High Honors are just listed on the list, no notification.
Yeah the camp calls are done. But wouldn’t they send a certificate for honors/ high honors? I would expect so, anyway, so even if you don’t check web, you’d get a nice letter in the mail, is what I would think. Also, I think the results should be posted sometime next wekk or the week after, considering past
@andyis: The honors/high honors list was officially released on the USNCO website on May 20th last year, so I expect the same if not earlier for this year. Only reason they released camp calls earlier was to have students start preparing. I believe students are assigned readings to do before they attend camp lol.
As I thought, the honors list is posted. Man am I frustrated! I basically missed camp bc of a my lab failure; better try harder next year. Oh well, at least AP chem was the easiest thing ever. Here’s the list btw: http://www.acs.org/content/dam/acsorg/education/students/highschool/olympiad/2015-chemistry-olympiad-honors-list.pdf
- Only 142 people made honors/ high honors with 39 as high honors. It seems kinda weird but whatever
I made honors!
Are they doing certificates for High Honor/Honor this year?
For National part 1, should I study Organic Chemistry in very detail? I’m taking Introductory Organic Chemistry at a local college this Summer. Would it be sufficient enough? My goal is to make it to the high honor in 2016, since the Camp starts even before my schoolc final starts. GPA is important to me. How are you guy’s balance it with school schedule?
Study all of the topics of orgo chem over the summer. Do tons of practice problems whenever u can during the school year.
