I can't really decide which way to go. I'm a freshman so of course I have a little time, but I was hoping to seek some advice. I'm currently a chemistry major/premed. I really love it, but I don't really see any feasible applications of a chemistry degree in the event medical school doesn't work out. Tuition and fees add up to about $55,000/year. I would feel absolutely horrible if I spent $220,000 on an education that ended up being worthless.

I've been looking into the International Business (BBA) program for some time now. My school has a very reputable business school and if I did decide to get a business degree, I could always have that backup set aside during medical school applications. My father isn't necessarily pushing me towards it, but I know he really wants me to get the BBA from Goizueta. I know at the end of the day "it's my decision," but my dad is also the one paying the money. It's really hard to explain what I feel...but I just don't want to waste money on a degree that will get me nowhere.

BUT...Is business also a good choice? I'm interested in business, don't get me wrong. I'd love to travel the world and interact with different cultures, but will this (at the end of the day) help me? I kind of feel like getting a degree in business would be deterring away from my goal of becoming a physician. It's completely 'un-medical/science' related.

I'd really just do nursing, but apparently that's frowned upon by medical schools. I have so many credits coming in from high school that the only 3 courses I need for nursing are: anatomy, physiology, and human growth and development. I'd also be able to finish my med school prereq's next year even being a nursing major.

What do you think? Any advice?
