Chicago CCIB (pre-business) Program?

Questions on CCIB program, any input is welcome.

How many courses are required from BGS and at which level? I can’t find undergraduate session courses from the BGS courses list.

How many students choose this program in each year? How many years of this program have been introduced?

How is job placement comparing with an economics major?

The undergraduate-only sections for Booth classes are listed on timeschedules:
[University of Chicago Time Schedules](University of Chicago Time Schedules)

For other answers to your questions, I suggest you poke around the CAPS site and contact them:

What I can say about CCiB, based on the students I know in the program, is that not all of them are economics majors and not all of them are interested in traditional paths into business. I also know students who have taken traditional paths with no help from the economics department or from CAPS-- students who were able to demonstrate their smarts and their leadership in other ways.

Wow I just read up on this program. It’s so great that a structured program like this exists for people interested in business at Chicago. When I was an undergrad at the U of C, we didn’t have anything like this. I know quite a few kids who probably could’ve used a few more practice interviews and some more structured guidance. I’m really glad Chicago’s implementing programs like this now.

It seems like a real dog and pony show to me.

I don’t really see the list of courses you ca take as an undergrad [University of Chicago Time Schedules](University of Chicago Time Schedules) Can someone please enlighten me?

uchicagoalum - the entire finance world seems like a dog and pony show to me… Might as well give the Chicago undergrads better preparation for it.

Believe me, it is.
