Chicago Unified 2019: Dance call scheduling difficulties

We are new to Unifieds. I have seen numerous postings on trying to fit in multiple auditions. For Unifieds, definitely the dance calls make it hard to fit in a lot of auditions in a day. Does anyone know which schools coming to Chicago have the 10-15 minute auditions, but don’t have dance calls? I can guess at a few, but looking for more insight. We are trying to find ways to meet these programs that may be a bit lesser known, but hate to lose half a day with each audition/dance call combo. Some of these 4 hour audition/info days and 1 hour dance calls make scheduling kind of difficult. Alternatively, are there some schools with joint dance calls, so you can audition with for example 4 schools for 10 minutes, and then 1 joint dance call later that day? We would hate to show up to a joint dance call, only to realize we could have fit in singing/acting auditions with the other schools and made better use of the dance call/trip.

In summary:

  1. I am trying to figure out which schools at Chicago Unified have auditions without dance calls?
  2. Are there any schools known to have joint dance calls? So you can kill multiple birds with one stone.

Any help would be appreciated. See you in Chicago!

As far as I know, there are no joint dance calls. All the schools S auditioned for that had a dance call were individual. No dance call…LIU, Molloy, OU (probably because this is a live prescreen for them)…that’s all I remember at this point.

Just found out S does not have a dance call for Coastal

Thank you speezagmom and lithpool. Great info!

No dance call: Northern Colorado, Univ of Oklahoma, Molloy, UAB, and Univ of Utah.

Thank you so much loribelle!
