Let's just say that UIC isn't exactly UofC. I mean, they've got one of the best medical programs in the world, and it's a great school.

But...fun dies at UofC. It's very much alive at UIC -- trust me.

Yes, why go to an enthusiastic, spirited place, when you could waste away in the academic and socially anti-climactic dungeon that is U of Chitown.

You two are being sarcastic, right?!?!?!?!

Who said anything about sarcasm?

(jaykay, yeah we are. Well, I am, anyway...)

I'm pretty sure I'm not capable of anything, but sarcasm.

The UIC medical school and the pharmacy program are top notch as is many of their graduate programs. The UIC undergrad program serves a different purpose than does U of C's, and admirably accomplishes its mission.

Can you elaborate on this...

Many students at UIC are first generation college students who often do not have the academic history of the typical U of C student. UIC provides academic and other support for those students and prides itself on providing a high quality education while teaching in such a way as to make it possible for less academically prepared students to be successful. U of C provides a rigorous, challenging, and academic demanding environment that requires students who enter to be more or less prepared for those demands, and pushes them even further.
