Chico State Housing for Transfer Students.. Suggestions?

What is the best on-campus or apartment choice for housing. 20 yr old transfer student. Seems the dorms are mostly freshmen, but it might be nice to live on-campus or near campus just to get acclimated.
Suggestions?

You’re in the wrong forum.

My son is a graduating Sr at Chico. These is an on-campus transfer dorm but, most Jr students live off campus. There is a campus affiliated apartment complex called UV that will match you with a room mate. they have a shuttle but, it is a little far from campus. There are tons of apartments/houses/duplexes just south of campus that are virtually all students which where my son lives now - it is chaotic with the Frats and sororities around the corner but, he loves it there . He lived in an apartment on Nord called the Timbers - it was OK but pretty dead and they really tried to screw him on the deposit - so I would steer clear. He has recommended staying South of campus to anyone who’s asked. There is an adjacent high school and the student density drops off to the quickly North of campus. There is a complex now called Timber Creek (formerly the Zoo) which has lots of students.

I haven’t been inside but, this is in a good location.

Craigslist has a Chico page and room/share section if you need a room mate.
