Chinese Thread

WE WON???god...i've lost hope in china's soccer a long time ago.in fact when they were talking about watching this game i was like not interested and got a mouthful from my friends. well it's true, chinese soccer sucks. but i guess this is ok...

I go to China versus Oekrain tomorrow...
I think their will be enough seats left

lol

My friend in China who has never come to U.S. got accepted to William College. However, because William College is so unknown in China, she has to take GaoKao and get a high score to prove the fact that she actually has the ability to get in QingHua, so that her relatives wouldn't think William College is a crappy school..........

sorry this is a bit late.... regarding to CA community colleges-

De Anza and Pasadena City Coll both are decent community colleges. They probablably both rank in the top 10 california comminty colleges in terms of transfers to UC system with De Anza being slightly higher. De Anza usually ranks in the top 3, behind Santa Monica Coll (#1), exchanges places with Diablo Valley College and Santa Barbara City College. Pasadena College also has good reputation and I believe CalTech actually sends students taking some classes there.

De Anza is closer to Stanford and Berkeley while Pasadena Coll is closer to Caltech, UCLA, USC, and the Claremonts. De Anza has slightly higher transfers to UC Berkeley while Pasadena has more transfers to UCLA due to their geographical difference.

Both are leaders in community colleges but don't expect them to be perfect. I have taken classes at De Anza during my high school years and I learned quite a bit depending on the teachers.
I haven't taken classes at Pasadena Coll so I can't offer more opinions.

PM me if you want to know more details.

Wish U the best!

Congratulation! That is amazing achievement! I also stongly believe that numerical stat doesn't give the full picture of a person :) We will both in PA next year!

untilted-o my god,why did she take gaokao?? what's the point anyway?? it's just stupid pride, you know. after all the effort and all you've done is proving yourself to some unworthy relatives. i would never do that.

haha, yes. has anyone gotten facebook yet? hmm, maybe we can set up a group...

I do!.. But we can only be in the same group if we attend the same school. :(

what facebook? and what group?

oo...i see then. i'm still setting mine up...hmm, we can still friend each other :)

I got my e-mail account a long time ago...pm me if you want to add me to your friend list. :)
