btw, for all the mp3-philes who enjoy chinese music, i just got my archos gmini 220 - its so awesome - can display chinese characters in songs and titles....def. recommend to ppl who want a mp3 player that accommodates simplified/trad chinese, as this is the only one i know of that does so^^

hope this does not count as advertising...

i cant believe how much im loving china.... gosh if i went to hs here it would've been like... heaven.... i mean... people worship u if you're smart... in the states who gives a care?

cough cough, if i went to hs in china, i'll be drowned by my teachers' 口水

er, i wouldn't call chinese hs exactly...heavenly. it's generally more like cut-throat competition.

LOL...it's true that ppl respect you when you're smart in china. but in chinese hs,everyone's jealous of ppl who are not in chinese hs. so that makes us all objects of envy so don't envy them. i've heard from my friends what it's like. only one day off in a MONTH. can you imagine? and no extracurricular activities to talk about at all. middle school in china's the best. everyone's a bit nuts(in a good and friendly way) and i had a lot of fun. (OMG is it raining outside?? thank goodness cos it hasn't rained for a few days and it's freaking hot. HALLELUJAH!!)
tangsdaily, you're damn funny. why do you expect do be drowned by your teacher's 口水??

sigh...the sun has come out after the rain and it's even hotter than before.
SIGH......

i used to understand whatever is taught in class slower than my peers, so my teachers would just going nuts and scratch themselves and then 乌烟瘴气。。。。。i remember my class advisor..... but i finally completed 铁头功,金钟罩。。。。 hahahaha

Same here, Vanillaice...it's hot in Beijing, but I still love it!

tangsdaily,i doubt that's true cos you're doing so well in US!maybe you just think differently, which is good.
i want to go shopping!!!!but my parents are forbidding me to buy anymore summer clothes cos i have too much already.how tragic...

too much clothing is a burden. 4 and 1/2 year in u.s. i've piled over 40 cubic feet of clothing. suits, jeans, dress shirts, coats, ties, socks, shoes, scarves, khaki pants & shorts, pocket square, bowtie, sweaters, underwear, jackets, fortunately, there is goodwill to donate unneeded clothing. simple fashion clothing choice can bore people in the long run though it helps people like us to move around easier.
if you can't shop clothing, then travel to some cool spots, like 九寨沟,西藏,神龙架,张家界,丽江; or check out the job market and analyze the economic condition in china to see the pattern of the future; or just try to know more of your home country. When you start school in america, there will be some curious people discussing many things about china with you and you will be ready when it comes.
And..... you can learn some culinary stuff in china, so you can dissolve your hunger for chinese food when you stay in u.s. for long term.
and..... you can figure out some money making plans....
you can volunteer some community work ......
Just enjoy yourself, i envy your guys who can go home once a while

just seen the Dragon Inn for the n-th time. I consider it the best 武侠 movie made in the 90's It will be even cooler if they add Jet Li.

for those in China, I'm curious if the tv stations still broadcast tv series like 西游记, 三国演义,新白娘子传奇,over summer for school kids? or cartoons like 葫芦娃(the Calabash boys), 黑猫警长(the black cat inspector), 舒克贝塔(the mouse pilot and the mouse tanker) for elementary school kids.
Those old 国产flicks were awsome!!!

here's more irrelevant posts to the thread as my 1000campaign to bring up the thread's post number through 1000 before the school starts.
