Guys,is it always good to transfer?I am stuck at Tulane.People here are not really nice though and the number of my friends can never match up the one I had in high school.A lot of snobby, mean, idiotic kids here...making me harder to breathe.Don't know if I should transfer. To transfer means to take up new challenges and live a new life, with uncertainties of future.I don't know if I am up for the challenge.Or I am just asking too much...confused...

I know it is extremely hard if you don't like Tulane-- but transfer could be even harder, especially for the international applicants with financial need. I know some colleges like Swarthmore don't even consider transfer international applicants with financial need. This being said, however, you should at least try transfer if you truly hate the environment you are in right now. You have almost nothing to lose by trying though just bear in mind that the chances are slim. Also, the transfer process gets tedious sometimes...

Best wish to Zhou's transfer. Keep us updated with your process, all of us can learn from your transfer experience.

Ding!!!

Thank you, guys!I will try to sort things out.I like the academics at Tulane and it's not an easy school.Professors always have high expectations and there are always times when I have to hit the fat thick textbook so that I can crack the tests.Hehe,I have some good friends here,a few.You know, what's suffocating me is the social scene here. It's so hard to socialize if you don't go to parties, get wasted,or pledge to fraternities.I got an invitation to join the National Honor Fraternity, but I didn't even bother to check out their rush events, haha.Cuz I was horrified by the wickedly bizarre ways that the older members of fraternities testify the prospective new members.Sigh...I will try to have a better life here...If not, then I might consider transferring.I will keep you updated.Thank you, guys.By the way, which university are you in now, bowtoserenity and conquerserenity?

bow is going to swarthmore, con has to wait for a bit

Swarthmore!Nice!I regretted not applying to a single LAC because I knew nothing about it!If I want to transfer,I may head to an LAC.
