Choose??

Drew or Temple???

They are so different! One is a small LAC in a middleclass area, one a big university that is very urban. What do you lean toward? I think Drew would give you more attention but I don’t know what you are hoping to accomplish in college.

The thing is, is that I like both for very different reasons because they are so different, which is why I’m having trouble choosing. I would like attention but I want a comfortable environment, strong academics, good connections, good study abroad. I’m looking to major in polisci, and maybe study some communications, theater, and languages.

Hi saswy!

Seriously, you can’t go wrong with either of these schools. Both have been around for over a century and both are well respected. If you’ve been following the threads here, you know that Drew has a strong poli sci dept, great speakers series (which recently has had the likes of Madeleine Albright, Elie Wiesel, Tom Friedman, Maureen Dowd, etc). It also has a strong theater program; and good opportunities for study abroad and semesters at the UN, on Wall St, and in DC. But I suspect that Temple has these types of opportunities too. Assuming money/financial aid isn’t a factor, as Debruns said it really comes down to the type of environment you want to spend the next four years in. Temple is a large research institution in an urban area; Drew is a small LAC in a suburban area. They are as different as night and day! So stop obsessing and pick one! I don’t mean to be flip; I know this is a tough decision. But it’s time. You will sleep better once you sign on the dotted line. Again, you can’t go wrong with either choice.

haha thnaks…I finally made my choice today–I needed to sendc my deposit in. I chose Drew.

Congrats Saswy, I hope you have a great 4 years! They have great programs in your major and you will have small classes and great opportunities.

Why did you pick Drew?
