Choosing a college

I received a full tuition scholarship to Columbia College in SC, and a decent scholarship to Campbell University in NC. They're my top two schools right now, and I'm having a tough time making a decision. However, I'm still waiting to hear back from UNCW, and Boston University. I'm certain I'll be accepted to both, and I know BU has the best reputation out of all of my choices. Any advice on making a decision on where to go?

Go with whichever school works out to the best deal financially. You DO NOT want to go into huge debt over college, especially if you think you will want to go to grad school one day. An education is what you make of it, and if you can attend school debt free, or with as little debt as possible, THAT is the best choice!

My dad works at Boston University, which gives me a 90% tuition reduction! My debt would be around the same for a few of the schools I’m considering, which is why I’m stuck!

Hi, my son went through a very similar situation last year! It is a nice place to be when you have several choices that seem to fit and the money is somewhat equal! Congrats on your acceptances!! My biggest question is have you visited all the schools. You have some very different schools on your list! What help my son was meeting with professors, sitting in on classes and meeting students. When you have done all those things hopefully you can start eliminating schools that just don’t fit.

My son by the way is currently a freshman at Campbell. He loves it. It is not a fit for everyone, but it was a great match for him. Message me if you have any questions about Campbell and I will try to answer any questions!
