I am transferring to Mt Holyoke with 70 credits completed at a community college. I read that Mt Holyoke accepts a maximum of 64 credits that can be transferred and I need to complete at least 68 credits at Mt Holyoke in order to graduate. I am eligible for financial aid only for four semseters and therefore I will graduate in 2010. I want to double major in Politics and Philosophy and I have taken Intro to Philosophy, Intro to Logic, Intro to Ethics and Philosophy of Religion as well as International Politics, American Politics and an internship (which I do not think that counts as credits) with a political group. I have completed all other outside major requirements. Do you think I will be able to graduate with a double major in four semesters or is it more possible for a Politics major and Philosophy minor? Also, can you please write what the general requirements are for those who double major? Does it take extra semesters to graduate with a double major?
Thank you for your time and help, Diplomat

Hi Diplomat. I believe it depends on the department really. If they are willing to take into consideration the classes you mentioned above, it might not be that difficult to graduate with a double major. However, you do have to plan everything with you advisor very carefully.
Here are a couple of links with info about the majors(or minors)
