choosing a major

Hello everyone ,
I am currently winding up my classes in an associates in science at a community college .I am having trouble making up my mind on which field i should venture into . I have a 3.7 GPA and i enjoy math and all sciences except Biology . Petroleum engineering was my initial major but after research i realized its not a broad field . Now i am determined on getting all my per-requisites for pharmacy but am scared of all that time in school . I am also easily tempted to get a BSN then later apply to pharmacy school .
I guess i am just all over the place .
Looking forward to your opinions .
Thank you .

If biology is not for you then how about the next most obvious answer: chemistry? I am not sure if it is the same for other schools but at my schools chemistry take many math classes that engineering students also take. It is a good alternative to biology for pharmacy .

I’m a little confused by what you are saying here. You don’t like biology, but are thinking of going for a BSN? Nursing degrees are going to require a substantial amount of biology courses, as will any pharmacy program. Having said that, there is no “pre-pharmacy” major, all you need is to take the required prerequisite courses for admission to pharmacy schools. The specific requirements will vary somewhat for specific schools, but you should be able to find out what courses are required by going to the admissions website of any of the schools of pharmacy you are interested in.

I would agree with Distress that if you are simply looking for an undergraduate major that will most readily provide you with the pre-reqs for admission into a pharmacy program, chemistry is probably the most suitable.
