Choosing FPF Classes

Hi All,

I got off the waitlist, but I can’t seem to find FPF courses to add to my shopping cart and I can’t find them under the course listings either (I only see Fall 2016 and Fall 2017 there). Have classes just not yet been released yet?

Also, when can we start enrolling? Because I saw some courses that are already starting to fill up and I can’t add them because of some enrollment error timeslot thing.

There are no FPF courses posted yet, probably because they’re still figuring out enrollment levels for FPF or something. Don’t worry about classes filling up because there’s special, smaller classes for FPF people that only FPF people can enroll in, marked with an X in front of the course title, so XESPM 50AC or XEnglish 1B. Also, you can’t enroll in classes until August. Look at calcentral, under academics, on the right, it’ll say Phase 1 with both a date and a time. That’s when you register for your first 13 units. Already have them in your shopping cart. Phase 2 you can register for up to 17 units, on that date, at that time. Adjustment you can register for more units. Above that box, course planner you find classes, see how they fit in your schedule. You can import that to your cart and be ready for when it’s your registration time.

https://fpf.berkeley.edu/course-offerings lists the FPF course offerings.

@Walter924 Thanks! How can I add these courses to my shopping cart if FPF courses aren’t even posted yet? And I wanted to register for like PE courses (which I guess I can’t anymore since they are all filled up). So like, all freshman are unable to get into first semester PE courses?

FPF classes are available; I just checked. You need to select Fall Program for Freshmen under the search criteria.

Honestly, I don’t even know how to sign up for PE classes. They’re only 1/2 a unit and not required. Even if they are full, which I sort of doubt, take a decal. Decals will definitely not be out for a few months. They’re not declared or open until late and then you don’t even sign up for them until a week or three into the school year. There’s some PE related ones, like swing dance (I think) or judo or other PE related things.

Parkour. I knew someone who took that one. Every Friday at a different location. She kept getting bruised but she had fun.
Ballet.
1 unit. The Decal is more units than the PE class.

It looks like they reserve some seats for freshmen at least for some classes.
