CHSPE then transfer to private?!

I've received relatively good grades during my freshman and sophomore year, but because of some issues, some not so great grades during my first semester of my junior year, which sucks because they're what colleges pay the most attention to. I've made the decision to take the CHSPE (California High School Proficiency Exam) in March. I then plan on withdrawing from school and enrolling at my CC with hopes of transferring.

I've done some research about the articulation agreements and have sent tons of emails with questions but I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on transferring? I'm expecting to be at a CC for two years to complete the required credits to transfer.

I'm aiming for USC, Pepperdine, or LMU, and my desired major is Communications.
