Civil Rights, Animal Sounds, Dante, Daughter / Grandmother

GRR. I know i missed one already. For the shroud question i put envelope as well, but after looking it up I can see why it would be disguise. What was the question about Dante and nature's beauty again?

To those of you who have taken previous SATs, what do you think about the curve on this one. Lenient? Harsh? Average?

the CR this time was MUCH harder than the CR in March; lenient curve for THIS version of the test...

Uhm,
I think I actually put blocked for the darkness one. It seemed right to me...I'm not sure why...they're blocked from our memories because of their anonymity. I'm probably wrong, heh. I remember putting unflappable, inimical, draconic was right, challenge, dismissive, caricature was right, 4000 for a math question, -4 for the parabola question, 100/pi, and other stuff....curve for reading will be generous...the one with the grandmother was long and hard. Some of the questions were unfair..especially since you had to know some vocab for the civil rights passage. Math..I'm not sure. I think I had a math experimental section considering i actually found it tough...but i think it'll be a bit more generous than usual. Writing was extremely easy..so i don't know, whatever it is normally.

I definitely had this version. I'm very glad to hear about the lenient curve. I also had an experimental critical reading, so this is giving me a little confidence.

it asked what this writing was suggesting or something like that. It said something about "It's nice to be alive" or along those lines..and I put something about looking into nature's beauty.

"the illiteri were shroud in anonymity...i think it was enveloped after switching from disguise. they weren't disguised ever...they were just never known and we can't break through the enveloping cloud of anonymity."

-can someone refresh me on this passage? i put enveloped, after switching from disguised

"Finally a discussion on the one I had! Most of those sound correct. I put disguise too. Did anyone have a lot of trouble deciding between recover and remember on the database one? I don't remember what I finally put."

-definitely recover because the person had to go back and refer to the info because it was NOT remembered.

hmmmm...
also for a two blanck SC i remember platitunious or something, another answer in that question was hackneyed, but i'm almost sure platudinous was right because it means trite

what was the draconic question and the choices? and i missed the excoriate question (put extricate).

wow i dont remember that ? at all. Or the one with caricature for an answer... but im positive i had the test.... just lovely

ohhh could it be that those ?S were part of a verbal experimental. I had a math experimental??

I did have a CR experimental. Fatthermit, I did put platitunious(sp) instead of hackneyed, too. I think I switched it to recover on the database question too. :-D

yeah, i had platitudinous or platitunious or whatever. I put recover, I put excoriate...eh, i can barely remember the test anymore.

oooooooo this is interesting. I dont remember hackneyed at all either. Im pretty sure the section you guys are talking about was experimental. what else was on it?

I remember debating between excoriate and something else. Can't remember what I put though. There was one hard word in a sentence completion that was vital to the entire thing, so I ommited it. Does anyone remember what the word was?

milquetoast?

i think i put "egotism" for the question with milquetoast.

damnit! milquetoast means unassertiveness.

what do you guys think the curve is going to be like. ?

Yes, milquetoast! Thank you. For another SC, there was one that started with a tough verb, in the -ing form that I think either meant confirming, or just the opposite of confirming. Does anyone remember that one?

pretty generous...like, along the lines of (CR) two or three missed and an 800..Writing wasn't hard. Math...maybe one missed an 800
