Civil Rights, Animal Sounds, Dante, Daughter / Grandmother

what's with friggen CB...not showing the experimetals...by the way...anyone rmbr what they put for why the author introduced the plato quote in the beg.

I think that the quote was there to show a historical precedent for beliefs about writing that the author would discuss later on, or something along those lines.

I put the same thing as step924.

yep, same here.

wait wasn't the answer to that one to show how ancient philosophers thought during that time?- are u sure it was a historical precedent

i think i put that as an answer choice too... some where.

one day, i hope the SAT is instance, with grading machines right on site.

lol this is way tooo confusing
ii think for historical precedent u are thinking about a different question
this one is about hte quotations by aristotle
was it a historical precedent for later beliefs
or was it how ancient philosophers thought during the timme

i put ancient philosophers because afer words, it said that other scholars knew writing but did preferred oral incantation- i said aristotles quotation was to emphazsize the beliefs of these ancient people

nah I think it was historical although I think I chose something else. oh well 2 wrong in CR so far.

do you think our section is so rare, we could get a generous curve on everything?

lol its always between 6 to 8 wrong for the 700. chill for CR atleast...for math its between 5-7

bump bump bump

Let's keep this alive, this version was pretty rare.

so whats the answer people?
is it a historical precedent or is it to emphasize views of ancient philosophers?

I said historical precedent.

anyone else have any opinions about this question?

I think I put historical precedent but I WAS GUESSING gosh darn it I probably missed many questions just by guessing...
I have an opinion about the SAT CR: it is strange

historical precedent w.o doubt

def. historical precedent.

remember when he had that question about the animal tones. i said it "talks about animal motiviation to an act"

it was between that and "sets up a discussion about an unanswered thing"

rmbr the question amnesia?...cuz I must say I agree with hyper in that CR is STRANGE lol
