CLA Chance Me

Here are my stats:

ACT: 29
Highest scores: English 33 Math: 24 Reading: 34 Science: 28 (SuperScored is 30 as I took it 3 times but UMN is not one of the schools that will superscore the ACT after 3 tests)
SAT: 1880
GPA: W 3.652 UW 3.5
By the end of this quarter I will have about 47 college credits from dual enrollment.
I took 2 APs last year and 2 this year, plus many honors classes. This year I am taking 23 HS credits.

My school does not rank but I come from a highly competitive all girls' college prep that was recently awarded the prestigious Blue Ribbon award.

I have been dancing competitively since 6th grade, am a member of National Honor Society, Key Club, Chinese Club, and my school newspaper (I am a photographer), I TA and tutor through NHS, I was one of the chairs for Homecoming Committee, I have volunteered as a student teacher at my dance studio for 1.5hrs+ per week since before freshman year, and volunteered for over 70 hours at my local science center. Sorry for the run-on sentence. During my junior year, I started a fairly successful Etsy shop. I have had 2,000+ sales since mid-January of 2013 and I run the shop completely by myself.

I am out of state and applied to the CLA. UMN is my #1 so I would like to see what others have to say. Thanks!

I would say low-match/match.

@ 345612335
I’ve looked at that before and my ACT is 1.3 points higher than the average and my SAT is only 17 points lower than average and I’m in the 72% for SAT. Am I reading something incorrectly or are these scores still low?

345612335,
But you got into CSE with 28 ACT, 3.2 UW GPA? Isn’t CLA less competitive than CSE?

You should be fine with your stats.

@younglion4,

Your stats are good for CLA. Low-match means close to safety. So you have high chance to get acceptance if you apply.

I was accepted to the CLA about a month ago. Thanks for your responses.
