<p>Please allow me to congratulate you on your recent admittance to Claremont McKenna. I know for many of you it may be the best news you get all year. </p>

<p>I thought I would take this opportunity to also encourage you to consider writing or working for the Claremont Independent. The newspaper is easily one of the most influential on any of the five college campuses. It breaks real news and its alums go on to work for serious newspapers, like the New York Post, the Weekly Standard, among others.</p>
