Anyone know why there’s a holdup?
@Hotmamanearyou I’m assuming its because they have to cut down from ~370 people to 12 and find mentors and all that stuff. Kind of frustrustrated but there’s nothing much we can really do about it
Guess they changed the way things work. In past years they accepted people first and then found mentors, if I remember correctly. And it’s been like this in the past, and they’ve released decisions earlier than this. I know I sound whiny, but I’m impatient and need to book tickets to india fast if I’m not accepted, and tickets are only getting more and more expensive.
@tobukoro Did you tell them you have to make a decision for another program by the 26th? If you have, then it’s totally not cool of them to make you wait this long/decide without receiving their decision. If you haven’t told them, I suggest you should.
@spacelover17 I live all the way in Pakistan so I have a similar dilemma (albeit in opposite directions). But then again the chances of getting in are really small to the chances of not getting in so I can see it’s much harder for you. I most likely won’t get in so I’m not too stressed about the ticket.
@Awesomenitrocity I did email them and I told them my situation and the fact that Clarks is my first choice. I did not get a response yet, and my other program said it would be hard to give me an extension for the confirmation bc they have a waiting list. Hope I get a response from Clarks soon

Well @BasedBioGod some of us heard “next week” in response to the emails…
I have a feeling they’re going to say:
“We regret to inform you but due to the unavailability of lab spots, funding and professors, we will not be holding Clark Scholars Program this year”
When programs consistently delay this much it’s not usually a good sign.

Okay, they better forgive those of us who sent in our applications late then (I mailed part of it the day it was due). They haven’t been punctual either
Ugh I called them once and sent them an email last night but they still aren’t responding to me.
Yup, probably won’t get anything this week at this point 
Dr. SF hasn’t updated me yet so…
will it be too late of a time for me to update them with my achievements? 
I’m seriously considering, i don’t think it would hurt
@BasedBioGod Ms. Cox told me it was too late when I tried to update on Monday.
Gosh darn it, if it’s too late then why in the world won’t they tell at least some of us?
They must be getting a huge number of emails btw. All the applicants that are not on CC would be going crazy thinking their application never reached or that they were rejected because they never got an email.
