@mochilate1897 I have the same deal, turn 17 halfway into the program. I emailed the program director asking if he could make an exception, but he said no, encouraged me to apply next year. Oh well! I’m applying for RSI, Simons, HSHSP, Garcia, etc., which all have lower age requirements.
@picats3141 Yea the age requirement is jack. Im still going to apply this year and see if I squeeze past, if not, I’ll be calling them a lot…
What’s the difference between Garcia and Simons?
@mochilate1897 Hmm…I would apply as well, but I feel like there’s a low probability that I’ll squeeze by, combined with the fact that I might not get admitted anyway. Plus I’m too lazy to write extra essays 
Garcia is specifically focused on polymers material research, whereas Simons is basically anything.
