@treelovr_ , how much scholarship did they give you ? i am wondering what typical amounts are. my kid’s is 40,000 over the 4 years (5,000 per semester or 10,000 per year). maybe our expectations were unreasonable but we were expecting double that so we are a bit disappointed…
@splokey I got 20,000 a year
@Treelov_r , that is the amount we were expecting but only got half that. Which doesnt make sense compared to other results at other schools so far…but it goes to show how subjective and unpredictable this process is !!
Was the letter with scholarship info the official financial aid award, or will that come later? And if so does anyone know when?
@trular, the scholarship amounts I was referring to for my kid are purely merit based, we did not even apply for need-based financial aid and had never filed the FAFSA or anything else. We are fortunate to not have financial need but are chasing merit awards. Maybe someone else who applied for need based aid can answer regarding need based financial aid awards and if they came at the same time as the admission decision.
Got accepted with a 1350 SAT and 3.9 out of 4 GPA.
OK Mine got the Traina (20K/year) and there is no financial aid letter so that should come later. Scholarship and financial aid letters are usually separate, and the financial aid letters usually include the merit you just found out about as part of the award. I’m sure they’re doing their best putting together the packages as fast as they can.
I didn’t know decisions were coming out today but I got in with kind of worse statistics. Not putrid but fine. 10k per scholarship without need-based announced
@redpoodles @splokey Thank you very much…I’m quite new to this whole thing and Clark is the first acceptance that I’ve gotten, so I’m just trying to figure it all out.
International Student
Got in with $25000 Global Scholarship
Accepted with an $80,000 scholarship (Traina Scholarship Award)
got in with 22k$ does anyone know when they’ll send us official acceptance letters?
Got waitlisted! Anyone else?
@dino12487 What were your stats?
@GMKoon LOL like really bad, safe to say they were below what Clark’s averages are. I genuinely think it’s my EC’s+Recommendations+essays that saved me.
Accepted
SAT 1: 1350 & 1400 ( only sent in the 1350)
GPA:4.0
In my opinion my essay was pretty darn good.
I only got $40k over the four years so that was a bit of a downer.
Does anyone have any idea when the financial aid packages are released?
I was accepted & received the $60,000 scholarship over 4 years. Does anyone know when they are sending out finaid packages?
My stats were a 3.8w gpa, 100+ volunteer hrs, 20+ hour/week job, Vice President of my school’s Student Council, NHS member, & Astronomy Club. My letters of rec & essay were really good which helped I think.
My son also received a call and received his acceptance 24 hours later.
was accepted 12/10/16 via phone call which i wasn’t expecting. got in with the $60k over 4 years. was initially $40k but they raised it in february. most likely going!
Here’s Clark’s welcome video on Youtube posted last month.
