So I just got an email that makes it sound like I will be accepted (it did not say that I was accepted anywhere). It seems personal, but you can never be sure. Did anyone else get a similar email?

"So, to me, it is worth it to take a quick second to say that I was impressed with your application and am very happy that you are considering Clark! Everything you have accomplished so far is incredibly significant for any person, let alone someone just finishing up high school (trust me - I've read thousands of applications at this point in my career!). I promise I don't say this to all the students I read, but everything in your application just screams "Clarkie!" I think that you would find Clark to be an excellent fit for your goals and energy, and that you'd find other like-minded students with which to spend the next four years."

My son got a very similar email and was very excited to receive it. I am fairly certain that not everyone receives an email like this. He was, as you would assume, accepted. He was excited to be accepted and received merit money too, but quite honestly, I was hoping that with the email and all, that he might get even more merit. He has not officially made his decision yet, but he has been offered more merit from other private colleges – and at this point, cost is a factor. I guess what I am saying is that while the email was lovely and I believe it was sincere – it set me up to think that he would get the highest merit award (other than the LEEP scholarship) and this was not at all the case.

Hello MMMcollege11 did you apply early decision or regular? same question about your son MCwald? I am asking because my son applied to Clark regular decision but it is his top choice school…I didn’t think he’d hear anything until early march. Maybe I’m wrong about that…

My son also received a similar email from the Dean of Admissions. It was not an acceptance, but did say he was a terrific fit. It also mentioned his ec’s specifically and made comments about parts of his essay. I’m guessing that these were sent to top applicants… we were/are really expecting an admit from Clark. He applied RD.

Hi guys I got this email a while ago, I applied early action and was later accepted!
This is a great sign although if you didn’t get one it’s not that critical!
This may mean that you could be getting a scholarship, which I did. But IT’S A WONDERFUL SIGN!
