Does Harvard, and any other Ivy League school for the matter, care about the number of classes you take? Besides the standard 28 credits and everything, do universities look at the number of credits (diverse in subject and excluding blow-off classes) as a + or a -?

So, as I am writing on my dad's sign-in name, I am currently a Junior at Harvard. What they want to see is that you have taken the most challenging classes that your school has to offer. Since Harvard doesn't take any high school credit (meaning that just because you take AP History, it doesn't exclude you from taking the class at Harvard) and you are not exempt from any class for credit, they look more in to the quality of the classes and the breadth of knowledge you obtain from them. So, no, they don't just look at the quantity, they care more about the quality
