I used my priority enrollment to enroll in Sociology 1. However, from what I understand, I now have to wait until 2nd pass to enroll in any additional classes. This makes me worried that I will not get into the math class that I need (it is already 60/180). What should I do? Should I stay enrolled in Sociology (a GE) and hope that Math is still available in early December or should I drop it (if I do, I certainly won't get it because it is almost full) and enroll in math, guaranteeing my spot in that class which is also a requirement.

Please help.

Also, if a class has "Staff" listed as instructor, what exactly does that mean?

Staff just means that the professor hasn't been determined yet....I'm thinking you want 3b? but, anyhow, math classes can over-enroll students usually so I think you'll get a spot in the class by second pass...keep monitoring the class and if it gets to a critical point before your second pass...then maybe start thinking about switching socio and math...what other class did you use priority for?

The thing is...my priority enrollment period ends tonight. I signed up for Economics 1 and Sociology with priority. If I drop Sociology during my 1st pass, can I enroll in the other class during 1st pass as well or do I have to wait until 2nd pass?

it looks like the priority cap is filled on that math class...if you drop sociology 1, you probably won't get in on the first pass to that math class anyway..so i'd wait.
