Class of '15 Facebook Groups

<p>I know the fortunate ones of you who are accepted to Cornell will want to join a Cornell Class of '15 Facebook group. There has been several articles lately (especially in the NY Times) about bogus Class of '15 groups springing up around major , really as a way to make money off of you.</p>

<p>There appears to be three current Cornell '15 groups. One actually asks you to post information about yourself, so I'd be weary; one appears to be a Class of '14 group that was not popular and became one for '15 and is not administered by a Cornell student; another one is run by a Cornell junior (from searching the CU directory).</p>

<p>Cornell is not going to start a FB group for you. What I would suggest is those of you who are accepted start a new group and post the info on CC so everyone knows it's legit. </p>

<p>Just trying to make sure you're not scammed.</p>

<p>Thanks, Memphismom. Though it appears everyone seems to be joining one of the groups that was created for the Class of 2014 and is not even administered by a Cornell student. So much for the advice…</p>
