Everyone has the same lunch at my school and there are no classes during it.

People on the East Coast are weird. -- Or maybe my California school requiring that every is allowed to eat is just too liberal ! ;0

Physics (the AP Physics class takes up 3 hours of homework a day, according to everyone who took it in the past)
AP Calc

and taking AP Micro / AP Macro online through UCCP (UC College Prep).

Next semester I have Civil War after CHEE, and probably T.A. (teachers aid)(ie, total sh_t period) after AP Gov. I decided just recently to take AP Micro/Macro online because we only have regular Econ at my school and its required for graduation, meaning that its a bunch of repetitive busy work (something I am not into). Almost all AP / Honors courses are only offered one period since my school's good students are few, and electives are only offered one or two periods a day at best :\ Its really sad / lame, and that is why I am ****ed into taking T.A. again this year :(

Yeah, I never knew so many schools allowed kids to skip lunch to take a class. I never would have guessed so many kids would choose that option...seems a little over the top to me.

Yeah, I don't know. The things people do to get into college these days! 56% of our class of 2004 went to community college. I guess that shows how competitive my school is :

lol! at my school it's like 97% go to a 4-year college, 3% go to community college, and then maybe like .01% to employment, but thats only like once every four years

yep moi aussi we have one lunch period that's 20min shorter than class periods and everyone eats at the same time. ppl sit on the floor and in locker cubbies.

I have no idea what is going on with this "no lunch" thing, or why people eat on the floor. Anyway, my school has block scheduling and a 40 minute lunch period; people eat lunch in the quad, amphitheater, or just anywhere that's not the floor (thank God for the west coast schools and their "no starving" policy).

See, my school does it conveniently...three separate lunch periods split between 450 students, so there's always seats in the dining hall. Sure, sometimes I hit up the sandwich bar and just eat it in the hallways while I do homework...but more often I sit down and eat. I don't think anyone in my school would skip lunch to take a class even if we were allowed to (which we're not) - our food's included in tuition, it'd be wasting money.

My school limits us to 3 APs per year, and only seniors and juniors can take AP.

I think it really depends on what your school offers. For example, the only APs offered at my school are AP Chem, AP Physics, AP Euro, AP French and AP Spanish. besides the occational junior taking AP Chemistry, APs are exclusively for seniors. Honors for languages aren't even offered until level 4 your Junior year. I've taken the hardest courseload I can, (besides doubling up on those AP sciences... because I'm NOT a math science person) and it wouldn't compare to most people here who have many more opportunities to take APs.

My point is, that it's better to compare with people in your own school or with people in schools similar to yours

At my school I think there's 14 AP's offerred, but because of required classes taking more than 1 ap foregin language (we offer 3) is impossible. Just because of classes you have to take, 11 ap classes is the most you could ever take, but that's never happened in the history of my school. 10 is the most anyone has taken.
