Class of 2010...HEY! THAT'S US!

Here's a place where those of us who got lucky can just shout out with happiness! For example:

WOWOOWOWWOOWWOWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I GOT IN, BABY!

HOW? NO ONE KNOWS. NOT EVEN ME.

WOWOWOWOWWOWWOWOWOWOWOWWOW!
YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

PTON, HERE I COME.

I CANNNNNNNNNOT BELIEVE THISSSSSSSSS! w00000000t!

Etc, etc.

Go ahead, shout out. You know you want to.

I'm still in shock. Looking at all the people who got deferred I just feel even more lucky. I was literally jumping around my house for about an hour! I'm soooooooooooooooooo excited!

Heh. I was zealously guarding my computer waiting for the email and when I saw 'admitted' I just jumped up and screamed to my parents: "Your daughter is going to Princeton!". Guess we are all excited and eager to go!

Really looking forward to meeting all of you! -big hugs for everyone-

^^^ you do your name no justice, but congrats anyway. :) :)

assuming i don't flunk my comp sci class i should be there O.o

Does that refer to me being female? Haha. If it does then I'll explain: My chinese name is rui, which sounds exactly the same as ray so everyone calls me ray! I'll bet you can pronounce ray just fine but will hesitate when you see my chinese name.

here i am to join you guys :) damn i was the first one to get accepted and post on CC but i totally forgot about this subforum! lol

ray, i have a taiwanese friend who has 'rui' in his name and his eng name is 'officially' ray lol.

i have half a year of holiday waiting for me!!! this can not get any better can it? unless i win a lottery or sth...

anyway, i am looking forward to seeing you guys in pton!! r u guys buying heaps of pton stuff? like shirts, hoodies, pennants or even pendants (yes im buying a pendant to show off for half a year :D) is it better to get it from pton or online?

o btw ray, i think he was referring to cautiouspessimism, not you. very cautiously pessimistic isnt he? lol

Haha. I assure you that I was FAR more than cautious in my pessimism.

As for whether or not I'm wearing Pton stuff: I have a Pton T-Shirt that I'd actually got free from PPPL due to Sci Bowl, but never purchased anything from the store itself. I just might do so soon...

Don't think I'll wear it before the new year, though, since so many very bright, deserving people have/may be deferred, most good friends of mine. It'd feel terrible rubbing this in their faces.

Hey, guys! Congratulations to all of you (and those future acceptees who will find out in the coming days). I assure you you will not regret applying early to Princeton...even when you have a paper revision to do, multiple articles to read, research for two 10+-page papers to write, and a script to memorize. In fact, six out of the eight guys in my room did ED, and we've never looked back since. Why? 'cause...

PRINCETON ROCKS!!!

Hello! I'm new here although I have been lurking around CC for the past year. I have been accepted into Princeton ED too so I thought I should get to know more of you guys before we actually meet next year...Reading these boards this week has been really traumatic but I just could not resist.

For those who have already sent out other applications, will you be withdrawing them right away, or will you be waiting until the process is over (i.e. in March 2006)?

Hey guys,
I'm eve from New Zealand. yeh I been lurkin round CC for a while but hardly ever post.
Man I can't wait to buy some Princeton clothes and stuff aye! cept it is kind of a waste on me cos practically none of my friends or anyone have heard of Princeton. Did you find the same thing welwelwel?
so wat r u goin to do with urself till september anyway welwelwel? I think I will go to Auckland uni for the first semester so I don't get completely bored.

im gona withdraw my auck uni app as a matter of fact...i dont wanna stress over tests/exams again. i wil have enough of that when im at pton anyway. i think i wil be jst tutoring for most of the time and wil jst pay occassional visits to auck uni to attend phy or maths lectures - for free hehe. i will review the AP stuff i forgot, especially physics. o yea im also going to learn chinese.......yes a lot of 'planning'......we wil c how much i actually end up doing hehe

i gues my situation is a little better here in auckland...you know how auck is full of asians (including myself!) some of them actually know about princeton! but many people don't...so whenever they ask 'is princeton good?', i go, 'of course! it's better than harvard by far!' then they go '...................................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' hehe

btw, if you havnt been to auck uni eve...you wil be quite disappointed... i mean the campus....there is no 'campus' if you know what i mean. its like a group of sparse buildings with big roads running between them! nothing like otago uni (if you've been ther)! and after going there for a semester this year for a maths course, i was completely fed up with the uni! i jst cant wait to get to pton...im not particularly looking forward to the tremendous workload but i wil at least be happy to be at the best uni in the world!! and i know you guys wil b too!

Phil I thought you'd vowed never to visit this website again - I now have a very low opinion of your resolve :p

And CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE!

Sucharita you are still here! I remember you being all hyper at the start of this year! How's life at Princeton? I'm thrilled to be going there next year (:

Thanks Sucharita and philntex! Haha, I remember visiting the Pton forum last year and looking at the decisions threads and what not and seeing you guys and thinking "Wow...if only I could go to Princeton..." It's a dream come true to finally know that I'll finally be doing so!

I think the decision finally sank in today (I was more in a state-of-shock yesterday), and I occasionally break into spontaneous laughter. And I think this is the first time EVER that I have ever hugged someone out of my own initiative (sad, yeah...i know). At school, everyone's been congratulating me...it's like living in a dream world.

Haha, I used to go to the Pton website and read all those "Guides to Princeton University" and stuff like that, and yesterday, I opened up the Princeton U map that came with the letter and thought "wow...I'll be going here". Simply amazing...

Okay, so I actually did vow not to come here again, BUT...this is a special occasion, no? I mean, these kids are about to take our spots as the coddled ones on campus...with their big 2010 banners and whatnot. Blarg. So yeah, I have to scope out the newbies :D

And hey...your birthday's coming up...YOU'RE COMING OUT TONIGHT WITH US! MWAHAHAHA!

Do you think maybe they made a mistake? I mean my letter does say that I've been accepted...but perhaps they put my name in the wrong file or something? What's weirder is that I actually live in Princeton...but I'm still really psyched!! and really hungry... mmm.. food.

I saw the 2010 banner in the Ustore yesterday when I decided to go over and buy myself a sweatshirt. eeek

Hey, guys! Just another 2009 EDer here to congratulate my CC descendents.

You guys are in for an amazing experience. I came to Princeton with incredibly high expectations, and they have been met in full. However, while the next nine months may seem way too long for your taste, please don't let your eagerness to come here let you diminish the importance of your remaining time at home with your family and high school friends.

Also, I'll hang around sometimes to answer any questions you have as best I can! Again, congratulations!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
NOW I CAN FINALLY DO MY XMAS SHOPPING!! (U store online, here I come!)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
