I might apply there as well les see

My brother told me that IUB gives a good financial aid to deserving nepalese stuents. the course is rigorous though. I may apply there as well in regular decision. but as manasm said,... lets see

And, how is everyone's SAT preparation going on? Has anyone completed writing the application essays?

me me but its Vacuous. I need to rewrite it once more

Is there space for another Indian here?

I'm only class of 2014 , but I enjoy meeting new people :)

my sat prep is abysmal. as for the essay, i have no idea wht i m gonna do. manasm: send ur app essay over. i'm desperate for a few tips.

good going class of 2012

skunk, US schools accept attested photocopies of SAT scores. no problem. but i'm not sure if every school does that. just have your GC write u a fee waiver and photocopy that as well. as far as I know, all nepalese kids do that. don't waste your money on the extra scores reports. don't waste your money on anything (too many printing and photocopying that we normally do)during the entire process unless it's necessary to do so. good luck with the SATs

ToUSin2007: Are you sure?..Coz what I have seen (almost everywhere) that they want ''official'' score report and attested photocopies are not ''Official''...

ToSin2007: Thanks for the advice. I'll do that. As for the excessive printing and photocopying, that is almost inevitable.:D I'll try not to do that but we generally dont know what is absolutely neccessary until we've gone through the entire application process.

you're rite skunk well I am confused some seniors said that the sent FAX copy of SAT score report. Do college accept that as well?

I just confirmed from Barium..There are very-very few (unknown to me) universities in US who accept Attested/Certified ''PHOTOCOPY'' of SAT scores..So, you will be required to spend those extra bucks for the reports...

I am sorry but I disagree with Issac on this. I applied to 25 odd schools in total and I sent the photocopied/attested reports to each of those colleges and they all accepted them (Yes they did!!!!!!1). But hey there are around 3500 colleges in the US. So technically, 25 colleges out of 3500 can indeed be considered "a very very few".... so yeah....Issac might be right as well if u do actually look into the bigger picture :D

Well, if they accept them...then it's good..:D..

ur brother seems to have told u a great deal about colleges and application processes.whats ur bro's name? is he frm bnks and if yes does he belong to 600 c batch??
nyways howz ur prep for the sat goin on?

as shailesh said as well, we don't know if all schools accept attested photocopies and he had applied to many popular nepali destinations and has already confirmed that they did accept those copies. so u all should be fine with that. good luck

1980: my brother? he is an expert in application process! he is here at CC, find it out!
