heY Ajayc,

Subject: ED2 notification

Hello,

I am Jason Shah, an ED2 applicant to Bowdoin from Nepal.

I am writing this email to get more information about the ED2 decision notification. I came to know through unofficial sources that Bowdoin has already sent ED2 decisions through mail. Is this true? If yes, will the international ED2 applicants also be notified of their decision through email?

I would be grateful if I am notified of my decision through the email since the notification through mail would take much time to reach me.

Looking forward to your reply,
Jason

Hello Jason,

Yes, we did mail out all of the decisions through the mail. We will most likely be granted to give decisions via e-mail later this week to international applicants. I appreciate that this can be a stressful process and we will be notifying international students via e-mail soon. Thank you for your patience and best wishes.

Sincerely,
John C. Thurston

On second thoughts—“We will most likely be granted to give decisions via e-mail later this week to international applicants.” So, ajay u are probably correct…But, I’ll not call up and ask about my decision

ajay, don’t u have ur IM address in hotmail…I have a yahoo id but I don’t use it that often

Why will you not call?

Hotmail : chahar.ajayathotmaildotcom

I guess its awkward to call and ask about the decision. Having said so, let me add that this depends entirely upon an individual.

I would want to exclaim at the top of my voice and jump for a while if I am accepted. And, I’d want to read the entire text or email and ponder for a while if I am defered/rejected. Both these aren’t possible with a phone in my hand.

Guys, don’t make a fast assumption here. I am not getting hysteric here…haha…It’s just that I don’t want to give a immediate reply to the one on the other end as soon as s/he says “You r accepted or deferred or rejected”. I sincerely hope that it is the first one…haha. can’t blame a guy for hoping…

come on guys…lets heat this thread…there r hardly any posts…

if u guys r taking breaks, enjoy to the fullest. U all deserve it…

any more ED2 notifications to Nepalese students?

good luck!!

jacobs list seems to be less.any more to be added. any chuparustum.think there is a chance for us this year.

What is the latest news for eders??

any good news from ed2yers.manasm,skunk,draj what is ur ed 2 status.

@ everyone…I appeared for my SAT reasoning test on January 26. The scores were due today. However, my account says that I need to check back on Feb 22nd for my scores. When I log in to the my scores section, the scores are there, but the percentile for each section and the essay scores arent available. Have any of you faced this before??? Suggest me what should I do ( except waiting till feb 22) IS this my final score?? - the one with no percentiles and essay scores?? CAn I expect an increase?? ( Or a decrease??) Any one???

BNKS12
seems like today became a bad valentine’s day for u!!! hehe
don’t panic!!!
ditto happened to me when I checked my account to see my December SAT scores. when i tried to see my scores using the “December SAT Scores Online Now” link it asked me to check back some days later but when I checked my “My SAT Scores” the scores were there D’oh! but still no essay scores or percentiles. at first i thought that stand-by test takers (i had given the test as a stand-by) don’t receive essay scores and/or percentiles. hehe!!
but when i checked my scores on the specified date, the complete score report was there!!! and it DID include the essay score, the percentiles, the scanned essay and what not! so it can be said that u are yet to receive your score report so CHILL!!!
talking about percentiles, mine were as follows:
test date, section, percentile
oct 07, cr , 71%
mts , 97%
writin , 99%

dec 07 , cr +80 , 91%
mts -10 , 96%
writin -10 , 99%

I dont know whether I should say that my dec percentiles have increased or decreased. I think it will
a. increase if u have improved your test scores (like I did with my cr)
b. decrease if u have lost few points (like my mts)
OR it might stay the same even if u lose some pts (like my writin score)
I cant say anything bout it but i can surely, confidently say that ur scores “will” not decrease and u “will” get your percentiles on 22nd.

hey i never believed that i could write such a loooooooonnnnnggggggggg post! me is very very la…

Rejected by Bowdoin.

ditto here…its a bad valentine day…

@ toxic…thanks man.. ya I get it now. Well, What I wanted to know is..like are the scores there the final ones??? ( THe ones I get to see rite now??) THanks again..truly relieved

@ BNKS12 the scores are the ones u will see on the mailed score report the only thing different will be that the report will include your essay score and your percentile
btw won’t you make ur scores public?? or will they be underground!!??
