Harvey Mudd

reach:
Northeastern Univeristy

Possible:

UC Berkeley (definite)
UCLA (definite)
UCSD
UCSB (definite)

(UCs are practically safeties; almost a fifth of each class at my school goes to Berkeley, UCLA, or <very selective=“” u=“”>.)</very>

lol… I’m applying to Cambridge.

I really would love to go to England.

Seriously want: Harvard, Amherst College
I’m alright with: William and Mary, Princeton, UC Berkeley, columbia, stanford
these will “suffice”: Kenyon college, oberlin, UVA, rutgers

safeties: kenyon, oberin, rutgers, W&M… I know some of these are tough schools, but I’m in-state (UVA), and have seen kids with less impressive credentials in every single aspect get into these schools.

Before I seem like a pretentious jerk, I’ve ranked these not by prestige, but by my interest in the school based on location, student body, general atmosphere, student clubs, financial aid.

Reaches (WANT!!11): Ivies? (Only the ones I like, obviously)

Matches (“ok programs, locations, and majors I might like”): Boston U, Northeastern, JHU, Carnegie Mellon, Tufts, RIT, Rochester

Safeties (…no…): Local public/state universities that you don’t need to know :)

Want to go to, match-reach: Cal

pretty likely option: Berkeley City College –> Cal. How depressing.

Top tier/Reaches: Georgetown, Brown, Columbia, Johns Hopkins
Middle ground/Solids: Cornell, Wesleyan, Davidson, UNC-Chapel Hill
Safety: SUNY Geneseo

I don’t want to apply to a lot of schools (wasted time and money), but my mom is making me apply to at least six. So far, I’m looking at Harvard, NYU Abu Dhabi, Notre Dame, Stanford, and Boston College…still need to find a sixth.

I know someone that goes to NYUAD and loves it

That’s awesome  What do they like about it, in particular? That’s the college I’d be most cautious about going to, just because it’s so new (and hella expensive).

He loves the city, the caliber of his peers, the advantages it brings, etc. I think he won a scholarship? Because they seem to pay for a lot of things for him

Wesleyan
Fordham
SUNY Binghamton
UDelaware

Reach:
Princeton (Hey a girl can dream) lol

Reach:
Columbia
UPenn
Princeton
