@tau
if you trust me then you can send me your essay
but before sending the essays be confident about its confidentiality (i hope you understood what i meant)

BNKS8:
who got into dartmouth last year except for jenny( look up in the dictionary for its meaning)

Okay so there are like 100 ppl from SXTC, 100 from BNKS and another 100 from RBS and Malpi..Thats like a lottt..So there is very tough competition.

@cicatrix: we hav similar stats? wht r ur stats? I tried to look up older posts but didnt find ur stats. i posted mine earlier. my SAT scores were missing. Oct SAT: CR(720)+ math(770)+ W(710)=2200

and SAT 1: try to get 680 in CR for Standford

(but for me, my target is only 580 in CR hehe)
i guess u finished your personal essay,
Stanford focus a lot on personal essay; the guy from BNKS (5 batch senior to us) got Stanford (after being deffered) due to his personal essay; he had a matured topic (what i felt after hearing his theme)
good luck
aafno la lafayette le rejection pathaune bela bhai sakyo, don't have to wait long

^^ wat was his theme anywz?

can u give some "dont write these stuffs" for the personal essay!!??

try this link: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-essays/359630-topics-stay-clear.html
In the end ur personal essay comes down to how well and uniquely u write it and not the topic itself.

BTW how is everyone's SAT II prep going on. I always seem to make around 6-10 mistakes in the Barron's math II.Can someone plz tell me wht this would translate into in the real thing?I guess it's too late to opt for the PR book.

about sending photocopied sat scores:
I do not know about any other colleges..but Harvard accepts photocopied SAT scores ( at least for international students!). I had sent photocopies of SAT score reports too, but make sure you get them attested by your Guidance Counselor or they wont consider it official. Harvard is very lenient to international students when it comes to application materials. And don't think I might be wrong..because I work in the admission office and deal with these things everyday. Feel secure to send ATTESTED photocopies of SAT and TOEFL.

wow.. u a harvard student..

r u nepali?

Hello, bocca, it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help solve another member's problem, or just join a conversation?

Yale, for one, accepts official scores only. A friend had to shell out lots of money to send his scores to places like Yale last year. Apart from two or three such places, almost every college accepts attested photocopies for international applicants.

@ivy
I m taking SAT II too. And Barron's book depresses me a lot. I havent tried the PR book either. I am pretty scared.

hey guys , i dont think it's so hard n fast rule to send ur scores online though very very few colleges want them-most probably the safety colleges as my elder said-so i preserve my online scores for safety colleges ,though i had planned to enter ED college on it but i could not decide it earlier and the result is what is here,,,,,,,,,i m gonna send attested photocopy scores ...........by GC

@anyone please suggest me SAT II Books,,,,,,,which one is best Princeton or Barrons,,,,,,,,,,
and guys what should we practice test or can we just skim through the chapters...

just hit on the practice tests; no need to study the chapters in Maths 2
Chemistry: chapters must be studied
don't know about physics; i haven't taken it

^ In case of physics the questions aren't going to be straightforward. So, it wud be better to first skim through the topics and then do the practice tests. Also, If u have time u could go through both the books.

try the PR book
thats the best one available
the barrons book is useless for the exam ( it has a lot of information if you want it) but

for high scores in the test
the PR book is the best
(that is a simple pre-undergraduate rhyme)

for phy...i suggest PRACTICE nd MORE PRACTICE..
once u get a feel for the question types it will be easy to work out through the twists in the question...go for PR....Barrons is too depressing

@BNKS8...u expect me to give my SATs again??
