yeppp…trippin. i might have to take out a loan if i dont earn it all.

"First, the Student Contribution:

We expect that all students will contribute to the cost of their education. Every student receiving financial aid is asked to earn $2,700 for school in the summer before matriculation. You should also budget 20% of your own savings and assets as a resource for each academic year."

Eek, I am working three jobs this summer, the only ones I could find, and I do not think I’ll be making that much.
The economy’s bad, they can’t possibly expect everyone to find jobs. It’s really hard, especially where I am from.

Well, summer earnings go towards indirect expenses here… as long as you’re somewhat frugal, it wouldn’t really matter if you came short by a couple hundred dollars. Plus, you can just work more during the year (non-WS, most likely) and earn what you couldn’t make during the summer. Most employment expectations arelike 10hrs a week… it’s not unreasonable for someone to do 15-18 and still have a social life/do well academically.

I’m not too worried, although I’m a bit jealous of you guys who have to earn <2K :)

On Long Island, NY – it is $7.00 flat. But, this summer, I have a paid internship that is paying like somewhere between $8-10 per hour, so good deal =)
