Class of 2013: Senior schedules

This was back in November, we have to turn in our registration cards tomorrow, and I have nooo idea what those two extra classes are going to be. I’m still thinking Art, and then maybe Chemistry or Euro. Gosh, I hate this.

Wow, I posted on the first page a year ago… It’s weird to see how much more ambitious I’ve become.

Senior Course:
AP Physics C – but I’ll need to ask my friends about the possible side effects of not taking B
AP Chemistry
AP Literature
AP Government
Orchestra
French (WHY DOES THIS SCHOOL NOT OFFER AP FRENCH)
Multivariable; Diffy Eq. @ community college

Probably going to take a Chem and Stats class this summer.

jonnathan: If you know the art teacher in your school, go talk to him or her. Depending on your skills and interest perhaps you can do AP Art if you have the self-motivation to put together a portfolio. Do not underestimate the time and effort it will take. It might be a great add to the combination of classes you have. Or another thought, what about AP micro economics or AP macro?? I did not read any of the earlier threads so I apologize if you’ve already stated your current academic interests. I’m a parent of 2 high schoolers who just recently chose their classes for next year.

IB English HL
IB History HL
IB Environmental SL
Pre Calc
ASL III
The Middle East
Senior/Capstone Project
Advanced Writing (required)

Not the strongest, but pretty solid compared to a lot of my peers.

AP Gov’t
AP Lit
AP Stat
AP Calc BC
AP Chem
AP Bio
Another undecided class

@livn487:
Those are really good suggestions, thanks! I’d love to do AP Art, but my school doesn’t offer the course. I know that Honors Art 3 requires a portfolio and an honors project though, so it’ll probably be similar. I finally managed to finish up my schedule, and I signed up for Honors Art 3 and AP Chem as my last two choices. I don’t mind it much that I can’t do AP Art though. I had to take a lot of academic classes this year, so it’ll be nice going back to more than one real elective!

AP Lit
AP Micro/Macro (split by semester)
AP Comp Gov
Regular Physics
AP Spanish
AP Calc BC
Senior Thesis (similar to capstone project/research)

AP Physics C (aaaah!)

This is what I been looking for! My limit is 15 courses(credits)/classes.
So far for sure:

Calculus (school doesn’t offer AP)
AP Lit
AP Gov
AP Physics
Either Symphonic Orch or AP Stats
ASB

Waterpolo

Your school offer waterpolo as a class??? I would take Orch for fun. I heard I AP stat is a pushover.

I’ve been doing Symphonic Orch for all of high school, but the only reason I’m thinking about replacing it with Stats is because I think colleges will like the double math (engineer major), and we play poker in that class
Yup waterpolo’s a class! Team sport.

(by senior year in my school all high school requirements have been completed)

James Joyce’s Ulysses
Latin V
