what were your stats?

Been getting info from Duke focus…what are the advantages? Do you really have smaller classes and more professor access? Is it a semester or whole year? I am not sure there is a “focus” that 100 per cent fits me…

whose stats are you asking?

Anyone who gotten accepted.

How do you find out who the really good professors are -you know, the ones who really make the material come alive? Is there a website?

Is Focus very selective? What percentage of freshmen typically do Focus?

For those asking about professors, that is one of the main strengths of Duke. There is enough accessibility regardless of whether you do FOCUS.

Hey, im deciding between Wash u st louis, Duke, and Berkeley right now…and have just 5 days to decide. Ny gut instinct is Duke but i need convincing reasons for my parents. How is the social/party scene there? Is the whole East Campus thing a big fun party? And most importantly, im not much of a reader and writer, so i have to ask what the work load is like in that respect(do you have to write a ton of essays and an insane amount of books)?
Im focusing on either biotechnology or business so I believe I’de be safe at Duke with such aspirations?
Can an alumni or current student please respond ASAP? Im dying here!

how hard is it to get into frat parties on campus?

Easy. You literally walk in and it’s fine. Navigating your way around in the really narrow hallways is a different story.

okay, as you can probably tell from my username, I am not in anyway shape or form a preppy person. How hard is it to fit in if you aren’t preppy/fratty?

Anyone in Focus? I was wondering if there’s still time to do Focus if I’m in BME and maybe pre-med. I know that BME has a high credit requirement already so can Focus still fit into that if I don’t do the engineering focus? thanks!
