Does anyone have more info on Michigan? I know the cutoff is between 218 and 221.
Still waiting for confirmation from VA.

not very helpful but:

received conformation from “the book” DM on CC
@emory85 and @enm185, I just got confirmation from “the book” DM on CC that 220 definitely makes the cut in Georgia! Congrats to your kids!
Likewise, I can now report that VA<=225.
NE boarding school located in CT. 224 confirmed. 220 did not make it. by DM
Student outside US <= 223, therefore no selection unit or state higher than 223. From the discussion thread, a poster with access to “the book” has kindly offered to look up students. Multiple posters (myself included) verified that the poster does indeed have access to the book. In my case I sent S’s first name, last initial and school and the poster responded with S’s full last name and middle initial. My S has a 222 in Texas so not new info for this thread, but the international NMSF with a 223 is new.
I just made Semifinalist with a 222 in Mississippi
Per jswani, my 222 didn’t qualify me as an international… so the international cutoff is 223, the upper bound of all the states. Best of luck to everyone!
@shiningsunnyday, I’m sorry that you didn’t make NMSF. Congratulations on being a Commended student, and thanks very much for sharing this information to pinpoint the top cutoff.
@Emmycat Thank you so much for posting! Thrilled for my son. I won’t tell him myself. I want him to experience that moment at school. Not sure if he will make NMF since he has a couple of C’s freshman year. But he has worked his tail off since then so NMSF means so much! Guess I’d better sign him up for the SAT since it seems a 35 ACT won’t work for this.
@shiningsunnyday, sorry you couldn’t make NMSF. But congratulations on being commended. You did great.
Per the discussion thread, “the book” has revealed that a 222 in NJ did NOT make the cut, so the NJ cutoff is 223.
Yeah made it a second time in Utah with 221, son number 3 first was 213 three years ago son number one.
Any news on Michigan???
@DRB2000 217 did not make it, 220 did. So we know it is somewhere from 218 to 220.

Thanks to jswani for confirming S18 is in “the book”. Jswani also gave me the info for the rest of our school - 18 kids out of 650 in the class made the cutoff. Unfortunately, none of S18’s close friends. They were mostly all 1 point away, which I guess is why WA went up by 2 points and has the second-highest cut-off in the country! With that many 221s just at S’s school, sounds like it was a banner year for WA students.
