@dubailad r u from nyc?

@BabyPanda33‌ no, I live in Dubai, UAE

@dubailad wow, that’s far

so, uh, anyone have any thoughts or ideas when decisions come out? Im getting more anxious everyday … :frowning:

@spldnlver saw on another thread that Fordham decisions are supposed to come out on the 24th. Good luck to you!

I just want to hear back from them! I got deferred EA (what). I don’t think I’ll be considering it (got into 6 schools including UCLA and Boston University sooo) but I really want to see the outcome.

Anybody here know what the lower cut off for the National Hispanic Merit Scholarship is?

No college admissions process is perfect. And sometimes stuff happens that is strange. Also sometimes your own counselor or teacher recommendation harms you by saying something like “Fordham is not his number one choice, he is likely headed to another state school.” I’ve seen that happen.

Or your application revealed it was viewed by you as a “safety” and they flagged it as not likely.

If you are a California State Resident and got into UCLA, its pretty tough to compete with that for tuition cost.

Congrats.

Between BU and Fordham its a flip of the coin. Different cities and different size and different vibe entirely. Nothing wrong with BU. But know the difference. Both are private and have very high cost.

If you want to work in New York when you graduate the choice should be obvious. And Fordham has a decent football team (BU dropped football) and Fordham’s basketball team is expected to be very good next year (and a new coach). BU is a hockey school. Boston got hammered with snow this winter.

Hope you get in and best of luck. Fordham is very special.

If history repeats itself, decisions can/might be posted tomorrow :-SS

Seeing these posts, does 2180 on the SAT will kill my chances of getting in :stuck_out_tongue: ?

What time does Fordham usually release decisions? I’ve noticed that most colleges tend wait until the west coast kids (aka me) get out of school. I’m gonna guess around 6:00pm EDT.

Good luck to the people who get there decision today. I hope I can met u in the fall.

Just got my decision. Deferred then accepted! Not a top choice of mine but still happy to be in :slight_smile:

Congrats. Now comes the hard work of investigating colleges and determining fit among the ones where you are in. Dont let rankings determine your choice. Go with programs, professors, location, vibe/feel, cost, other factors important to you.

Where else did you get in? Fordham is special. An amazing school in so many ways. Location, contacts and internships for top students.

Go where you will excel. Good luck.

I strongly recommend attending accepted student orientation in April and meet and greet professors, students and Fordham President Fr. Joseph McShane, SJ. He gives a really good speech and then talks one on one with students. A must!

Just got accepted! I’m an international student :slight_smile: happy though it’s definitely not my top choice. Anyone knows if there is financial aid decision available as well?

wait listed going to the university of Connecticut

@sovereigndebt‌ thank you! I’ve been accepted to quite a few thus far…Boston College, Northeastern, U of Rochester, Binghamton, Stony Brook, St John’s, and now Fordham. It’s going to be a really tough choice. I’m also still waiting on a few next week.

I think the main reason Fordham isn’t higher on my list is just cause I don’t know enough about it. I was planning to visit after hopefully being accepted EA, but that didn’t happen, and while I still could have visited, BC/Northeastern/Bing accepted me EA and I invested more of my time into researching those schools. So, for better or worse, it fell down my ladder of schools and here we are haha. That being said, you never know what will happen.
