CLASS OF 2021 FROM NEPAL

@thekopbav Can you share me your stats?

@cromagnon152 Hey! I applied to Vassar College too. My SLC score was 82% and +2 was 80%. I got 1550 on the SAT, 1570 on the Subject Test (Math II and Phy) and 117 on the TOEFL. My other schools are Franklin and Marshall College, Colgate University, Colby College, and a few other safeties. My EC’s consist of informal music stuff and some volunteering.Where else did you apply?

Great! I think your SLC and HSEB scores will hurt you a little but not much though. Best of luck bro. Lets hope we both can make it

Did anyone here apply to St. Olaf?

@puru93966 @cromagnon152 Yes, I got in.

Haha, all of you guys have scored 1500+ in SAT and perfect scores in subject tests. And here I am, just 1440 in SAT, didn’t take subject tests, just 99 in TOEFL, but still applied to ivies. My future is screwed xD

@Freshuate People with a score of less than 1400 in the SAT and 95 in the TOEFL have been admitted to ivies. It’s not over until it’s over.

Yeah, I say that to myself all day long XD. By the way, what are your stats?

@Freshuate I got only 82% SLC and 80% HSEB, and because my school counselor is inexperienced, she probably wrote a lacking school report and recommendation. I still applied to an ivy, though.

But your SAT and TOEFL scores are probably in 99th percentile so, your grades won’t affect your application, I think.

@THEKOPBAV You got in vassar, right? What’re your stats?

Straight A*s in A Levels. 1520 SAT, 1600 in SAT II (Physics and Maths Level 2).

From RBS or BNKS?

@bunny100 Neither :)) I’m from Xavier International College, Kalopul.

@THEKOPBAV how much scholarship did you get? Free ride?

But seriously guys, how does one go about scoring 85%+ in HSEB? I consider myself pretty good when it comes to language skills (both Nepali and English), but I only scored 68 and 74 in them respectively, which contributed to my lower percentage. It’s frustrating as hell, and I regret my decision of choosing +2 over A-levels after 10th grade.

@Freshuate Yes, almost.

My situation is similar as well. I scored 86% in class 11 but Nepali screwed me bad in class 12. Only 68 on it and my percent was reduced to 80. But grades won’t matter that much, especially of those related to HSEB, I heard my counselor say. So chill.

@THEKOPBAV so will you go to Vassar or have applied to other colleges as well?

@Freshuate Hey, thanks man. That makes me feel a bit better. :smiley:
