CLASS OF 2021 FROM NEPAL

Thank you guys for your answer.

I just want the people who applied to Trinity ED to check their portal and tell me what they find there

Anyone applied to safety colleges? I applied to Saint Peter’s University and Caldwell University.

Can you tell what kind of scholarships st.peter’s offers for international students ?

Can you tell what sort of scholarships does st.peter’s offer ?

Hey guys! I have no idea how to fill in my CSS Profile. Any suggestions to begin with? And what documents do I need to back up the information?

Hello, everyone. New user here. Anyone have any idea what the highest SAT/TOEFL score for Nepalese students is this year?

Also, what would you surmise the average SAT score here would be?

And I’m an HSEB student and had no idea that I was going to be applying to a US university after graduation. My problem is: People say that the graduation date for HSEB students is the same date that results come out i.e. August. I’m applying for the fall of 2017, so does my case constitute a gap year, and if so, do I have to present an explanation for said gap year in my applications?

Ohboy1519 one of my friends got 118 on te TOEFL and 1580 on the SAT.
I am also from the HSEB stream.
Yes, I think that means you’re taking a gap year and you have to explain why you’re taking a gap year.

@yochill2021 Holy shit, that’s a good score. So, 1580 and 118 are definitely the highest scores in Nepal, huh? Damn.

Do we mention our activities during the gap year on the additional information section of the Commonapp?

@ohboy1519 on my application, I mentioned only about the reason for a gap year, like some volunteer work and all.

@yochil2021 Thanks! What school are you from? What colleges are you applying to? You know anyone who got into ivies? What were their SAT’s?

@ohboy1519 Im from SXJ
Bates, lafayette, george washington, American Uni, and a few more.
One of my school mates who attended RBS A-Level got into columbia,yale,georgetown and a few more for the class of 2020. His SAT1 was 2300 and SAT2 was i guess a full score for math2,chem and phys.

Thankyou ! Greatly appreciated! :smiley:

Why are you worried about others?

@heydudekid I want to be sure of the standards set for getting into a University with a substantial financial aid. I didn’t apply EA or ED to any college, so I’m a bit worried.

Hey, I am applying to American Uni too. How is your application coming along? Also, mind telling what you plan to study? @yochill2021

@ohboy1519 that’s a general transition. Common App asks for an education interruption, which I don’t think is same as a gap year. Personally, I didn’t mention my gap year thing in my app to Cornell. So, I would recommend that you also don’t ! By the way, @yochill2021 where is the one with those scores applying to ? Scoring a nearly perfect score is a great deal for Nepali students ! Whoever he/she is, Congrats ! And did the RBS guy in Class of 2020 get into Yale too ?

@0000yo0000 I personally know the guy. He’s from SXJ. I think he missed the EA and ED deadlines just like @ohboy1519. He hasn’t decided on colleges yet. He asks everyone he knows for college suggestions. Lol.

And @ohboy1519, I think you should show what activities you did during your gap year in the activities section of the commonapp. Just enter an activity and select post-graduate.

@0000yo0000 I remember during a session at USEF, they had mentioned about mentioninga gap year, becase if a gap year isn’t mentioned, isn’t it going to be a highschool senior applying? It is upto you, just saying.
He cose Columbia. Yeah Not 100% sure, but he did I guess.

Hey guys, I tried searching but couldn’t find a solid answer. Say that I’m sending SAT 1 and SAT Subject Test scores to the same college. Do I have to pay for sending each score? I know that I can send multiple SAT 1 scores to a single college for the price of sending only 1 SAT 1 score, so do I have to pay extra for sending a SAT Subject Test Score? Thanks!

@ohboy1519 you don’t need to !
