CLASS OF 2021 FROM NEPAL

@ohboy1519 you can send both SAT 1 and SAT subject test score at once…no need to pay extra money

@0000yo0000 @warg10 Whew. thanks!

Does university provide application fee waiver–if they have mentioned that they do-- and what about common app fee waiver?
And any one knows the affordable way for the courier? Application fee and courier charge are being the problems for me.

@Cyanogen You’ll have to choose the fee waiver option in your commonapp and then give the email address of you counselor. Your counselor will affirm your need for a fee waiver and that’s it.

@yochill2021 Hey! You’re from SXJ, right? Who did you get your recommendations from?

Yes. I’m from SXJ. You still in school? Or already passed out?
I took it from HR, KM, SH and maybe will add TR to one college. Dont trust him lol.
Wby? There’s no one else to do the recommendations anyway. @thefeelsguy

@yochill2021 I’m from the Batch of 2016. TR gives out really bad recommendations. His recommendations are short as hell and are basically the same for everyone, and it gives very little info about us to the college. So I’m a bit worried. Another problem for me is that HR and KM are/were both physics teachers, so it would look weird I think. (although HR also taught us Zoology)

@thefeelsguy who else does recommendations? I have no idea. Does BB do the commonapp recommendations? Also, Fr.AR barely knows me and he just writes about all our achievements and stuffs so, kind of confused.

@yochill2021 It doesn’t matter if Fr.Amrit knows you, he writes the same for everyone (with the exception of your achievements) But what’s bad is that he has AWFUL english skills. He has no idea how to write recommendations. All his sentences are monotonous and repetitive. Seriously, none of our teachers are good writers. I’m worried that recommendations will degrade my application.

I’m not sure about BB too. I wouldn’t know who else to ask for recommendations. D:

What batch you from?

That is true too. The only good recommendation is going to come from HR, haha.
I wanted to talk to BR too, but SH told me only HR, TR KM, Fr, and she use the commonapp. So it’s kind of confusing what to do. Wish I could write my own recommendations, I wouldn’t lie about anything haha.
I’m from 2016 too, we probably know each other.

Hey, @yochill2021 or anyone else really. Have you sent your transcripts to the counselor? If so, then should all the transcripts (10, 11, 12 and 11-12aggregate) be present in the same pdf file or should they be in different pdf files? Also, should the size of a single transcript be less than 500kb or should the collective size be under 500kb?

@thefeelsguy they must be sent separately, each under 500kb. Yes, 10,11,12,and transcripts.
I have already sent them but they have not completed my application.

Hey guys, I am not so familiar with the applications so I have a few questions:
While submitting th commonapp do I have to send in certification of finances, and if I have to do I have to mail them?
I emailed about this to a few colleges and none replied so. Thankyou.

@rc6125 No, you don’t have to. Any documents regarding finances will only be needed while you fill out the CSS profile (if the college you’re applying to asks for it, that is)

Another advice: don’t send emails to colleges asking questions when the answer can be easily found out elsewhere. It may leave a bad impression on them.

@thefeelsguy thanks. Yeah thats right, but where else can I get accurate informaion raher from he college officers themselves? Haha, thankyou anyway.

@rc6125 You can almost always get college-specific information from the college’s website. Other general inquiries, like the one you asked, can be answered through a quick google search.

Also, if you absolutely have to send an email to a college, make sure it’s not redundant, long, or grammatically lacking.

Did anyone get into Cornell ?

Did you get accepted? @0000yo0000
