@Mardeen YES! My kids are actually 12 years apart, both are singers, and she is my youngest. The quiet has been a HUGE adjustment for me.

@theaterwork I know your post is old but I’m wondering about how many students Western Michigan accepts every year. My daughter auditioned at Unified’s but it was only a 5 minute audition and she had to do the dance call in the hallway because evidently they didn’t book a dance studio. Now it’s late March and we are still waiting to hear. She has another offer from a NY school but I’d so much prefer that she be in the midwest near some family. How is your daughter liking it?
@Momsugrue - I’m fairly certain that today was Western’s final audition date… so decisions should come fairly soon now. My D has a good friend who is a freshman in the MTP program.
@Momsugrue - yup, today was the final set of auditions for WMU, my d was working at the auditions this morning. They always do the Unifieds dance callback in the hallway, its mainly for placement (if you do get accepted) to determine if you land in Intro to Jazz or you get to go straight into Jazz I. Getting a callback to dance means that you are being seriously considered.
WMU always accepts 15, usually 9 guys/6 girls or 8 guys/7 girls.

Last year when my S was going through auditions and acceptances, I just lurked here. Now that we are on the other side, I have created an account and offering some advice to the Class of 2022 parents. I just found this thread today. Can a latecomer join the FB group? 
My S is BFA MT UMiami 2021.
