Class of 2022 Agnes Scott College

@1822mom I felt that was really what scholars weekend was about. I suspected ahead of time that they probably already had their finalists chosen. If I remember correctly there were at least 80 young women there -I doubt they were all really in the running for the scholarship -but maybe I am wrong. However it is a good chance to get a feel for the campus and meet other people that are applying.
My D did not get the scholarship and felt like she did a good interview.

@sungava22 I’m in you same boat. I’m from Jamaica and I need a ton of financial aid for college because my EFC is somewhere between 2k and 3k per year. Any word on how Agnes Scott’s FA works for internationals? I’m contemplating applying RD but it wouldn’t really make much sense if I get in but can’t afford it, y’know?

Hi all. I’m a parent. I visited with my daughter last spring, with no expectations, and Agnes Scott immediately become my daughter’s dream school. We were blown away. Beautiful campus (second prettiest campus I’ve ever seen, second to Vassar), great opportunities for internships and jobs, great location, amazing support system, advising system, good food. My daughter says she wanted to go there because of the Smores bars (okay, so this isn’t important to me, but it was important to her). If you haven’t visited yet, it’s possible that the school is even better than you imagine. She applied EA and got in with an unexpected scholarship. Everything fell into place. AS looks awesome. I’m so happy. I guess it’s possible that there are some negative things, but I didn’t see any.

My daughter was accepted and it was on the website on Friday. We live in Montana and she is seriously considering it but wants to see who else accepts her. She applied EA.

My daughter received Trailblazer scholarship.

Hi guys. International student here. I applied EA in ASC and got accepted with Trailblazer Scholarship and I’m being considered for Marvin perry scholarship. I’m really terrified about the skype interview and what happens next regarding this scholarship.

Hello, guys! I am an international student, and I applied EA II to Agnes Scott. I just got accepted with the Trailblazer Scholarship and a nomination for Marvin B. Perry Scholarship. Does anyone have any idea about the Skype interview for the scholarship?

.

My D received the Marvin B Perry Scholarship at Agnes Scott College. She turned it down and accepted a STRIDE Scholarship at Smith, believe me I cried for days. Her stats; 3.90 gpa (UW), ACT 33, student council for 4 yrs and junior class president and senior class VP, VP for state association of student councils, 4 APs, Milwaukee Ballet Pre-Academy. Her presentation was on how helping girls stay in school by providing products to help with menstruations since a lot of girls in 3rd world nations stop attending school once they start menstruating.
