congrats to everyone who got in!
stats:
3.5 gpa (w/ extenuating circumstances: i was very sick for my first 2 years and indicated this on my application)
34 act
3 ap (5s)
highly competitive CA public high school
1 community college course
worked as a swim teacher since freshman year
MUN
political internship this summer
very good essays
accepted for international politics for the 2+2 program at brandywine

definitely confusing and disappointing as PSU was supposed to be a safety for me and i’ve already gotten into a college considered a borderline target/reach. now that i know about my other acceptance+that i wasn’t admitted for a full 4 years at UP, i will be declining my offer of admission to hopefully free up another spot!

good luck to everyone still waiting!

It’s very hard to establish residency for college purposes. It Is usually based on where the parents live.

Congrats to all!

Congratulations to everyone who got a decision tonight!
I know it’s disappointing to get the 2+2 plan when you wanted UP. It’s definitely worth a call to admissions to see if there are other options, especially if your GPA was high.

Just remember what I’ve pointed out before, one students 4.0 can be “worse” than another students 3.6 depending on grading scale and weight at each school. So try to not compare your GPA to others who got in for UP campus. The only thing to do is call admissions and have them explain your specific case. Errors happen, and also there are usually other options that will get you into UP if your grades are good…summer, change of major etc. Some of the liberal arts majors are very popular and thus, become more competitive.

my portal still doesn’t work… :upside_down_face:

Am I the only one who hasn’t received a decision and still has the TO button

I haven’t heard anything.

When the portal opens, does anything happen? Like confetti or anything crazy? Just wondering if you can open the portal multiple times and see the response or if it’s a one time deal. Thanks.

Haven’t heard either. Veterinary and biomedical sciences major.

No confetti or difference between first time looking and tenth. Hope that helps!

Also, two new blue buttons appear. One to accept offer and one to print off pdf of acceptance letter which looks nice if you want to give your son or daughter that instead of looking online.

We haven’t heard either

My son is still waiting too. Liberal Arts. OOS. Still has the blue test score button.

Daughter accepted LA criminology OOS TO 3.6UW must do summer session but got UP considering this year she was shocked and excited - waiting to hear from usc - she was deferred, got into pace university honors with a big scholarship that makes it affordable, university of Tennessee, Oregon, waiting on LSU Clemson, jmu.

I think the summer session is a good option for her now just have to look at costs
